Let the heavy sleepers
Sweat and soak these lowlands,
For the whole word to watch.
Panting on the sidewalk,
With lead dreams and cut off shorts,
We had so much to spare, so much to
Burn away, the heat
Will crush us
You laugh it off
And roll the dice on
My own summer
Let me mean something,
In someone else’s pipe dream
Scrub me off those streets
We're your cemetery dogs,
Your guitar center dweebs
Simmering on God’s back burner, we
Turn away, the heat
Broke my mold
Sweat out the cold
My heavy metal
Burn away, the heat
Will crush us
You laugh it off
And roll the dice on
My own summer
These ballisticaly loaded tunes purposely deny a certain closure that is intended to keep one hitting the replay button. Well played Smirk, well played. jfpOne23
I know it's an obscure reference, but the singer reminds me of Anneke van Giersbergen from the Gathering. The singer of Romero is a highlight of the band's sound, and the power-pop tunes are driven by her. Looking forward to future releases of this band. Bart
